Dear Sir
This is to confirm that, in my capacity as the Board Member responsible for Finance, I have worked
with Mr. Robin Bortz in his capacity as Bursar of the Bishop Bavin School for eighteen months from
June 2012 to December 2013.
The previous Bursar had sorted out much of the mess left by her predecessor but could not finish the
exercise. Robin has completed all that needed to be done to bring our accounts to a completely
current state so that we will be ready for audit in January.
At the same time he put in place many of the systems and practices that I am confident will enable
them to go one running competently in the months and years to come.
He has been a pleasure to work with him as I found him reliable and regular in his practices and I
have no doubt that his honesty is beyond question. He is completely competent with Pastel and Excel
and showed us many things we did not know.
