STS Construction - Buffalo, NY - November 1996 to January 1999
Responsibilities
Drive equipment including dump truck, back hoe, front loader skidster and fuel trucks. this was a concrete
company so I labored and finished concrete including footers, flat work and walls in a residential and
commercial site. I also ran finishers and laborers helped with payroll, accounts receivable and accounts
payable in the summer months i worked up to 100 hours a week
Accomplishments
During my time at STS Construction we expanded the Roswell Cancer Hospital in Buffalo, NY this job took 3
years and when the job was done the work was over.
Skills Used
the biggest skill that people overlook in this kind of job is time management but also my physical abilities to do
the job my knowledge of business and how to maintain a successful project, computer skills at the time was a
new technology to keep grade and make sure everything was plum. the ability to work and manage employees
in a labor union environment and motivate them to want to work harder and stay on time.
this was the first job other than the military I was given the opportunity to manage and we excelled. We were
the only company that finished our projects on time even when every other contractor around us where 6
months to a year behind.

i worked for this company for many years starting at the age of 10 Making boxes when I could be hired i started
out with prep work then an assistant cook then cook. this is the number 1 independent pizzeria in the united
states. on an average Sunday there are 2 pizza cooks working 24 ovens we produced 4000 to 7000 pizzas
a day this is where i learned to fruits of hard work by the time i went into the army i was making 10.00 an hr
at a time when minimum wage was 4.25 an hour.

i learned the value of a dollar and how hard work impacts that. this was the job that started my working career.
