United States Navy San Diego, CA 1994 - Present
Senior Medical Manager
● Senior Medical Manager at various Naval Commands and onboard Naval Ships. Managing staffs of
20 to 40 personnel servicing up to 10,000 personnel. Leadership directly resulted in over $60 million
in healthcare services provided with a cost savings of $8 million.
● Served as Senior Medical Manager and healthcare provider at a Naval Construction Command.
Developed a new appointment system that decreased patient wait time by 25%.
● Managed a staff of 19 personnel that triaged and treated over 1,000 patients in a year and produced
over $20 million in healthcare with a cost savings of $3 million. Developed continuing education and
training for the staff.
 Served as Senior Medical Manager and healthcare provider onboard a Naval Ship. Triaged and
treated over 300 patients per year producing $2.4 million in healthcare with a cost savings of
$500,000 per year.
 Provided and managed the healthcare for 8,000 personnel in a stressful and turbulent environment
while deployed to Afghanistan. While deployed to Afghanistan provided life sustaining treatment to
several military personnel that saved the life of several personnel.
 Instrumental in the planning, coordination and development of a 150-bed Hospital in Afghanistan.
Worked with several military branches and contractors to build a 150-bed Hospital that provided
healthcare to over 8,000 military and civilian workers on the base thus increasing access to care and
saving thousands in transportation costs.
 Led different commands with hundreds of personnel in all medical and safety inspections leading to
numerous command awards. Awarded the Navy’s Excellence award for healthcare at different
commands as a result of the comprehensive health promotion and preventative health programs.
 Performed numerous health and sanitation inspections at different naval facilities, outdoor areas, and
onboard ships. Results led to no food-borne illnesses and zero loss work time for the crew.
 Organized numerous health promotion fairs for different commands servicing thousands of personnel
decreasing illnesses and injuries by 15%.
 Leadership in managed care programs and analyzing data and preparing presentations. Developed
health programs to streamline appointments, ancillary and surgical services that decreased wait time
and efficiency.
 Exceptional customer service, marketing and communication skills. Implemented a customer service
initiative and patient satisfaction survey for the command that improved customer service by 20%.
