Duties And Responsibilites:
• ONGC through Neptune Exploration Industries from June 2007 to March 2009.
An Excellence work experience with “NEPTUNE EXPLORATION INDUSTRIES” in Mumbai
offshore as a ROUSTABOUT.
The duties of Roustabout are:
• To perform hands on training of general rig maintenance, repair, installation and removal of all
crane, rigging/slinging, tagging loads, working overhead, assisting crew, lifting loads, deck
maintenance equipment, deck maintenance about the installation to include cleaning, painting,
and housekeeping.
• To help move drilling rigs and equipment from site to site, set up in the new site and connect
power cables or hoses for water and air supply .
• To mix and test drilling fluids, chemicals and grout.
• To clean up spilled oil by bailing it into barrels.
3. • To unscrew or tighten pipes, casing, tubing, and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and
tongs.
• To bolt together pump and engine parts.
• To walk flow lines to locate leaks, using electronic detectors and making visual inspections.
• To move pipes to and from trucks, using truck winches and motorized lifts, or by hand.
• To supply equipment to rig floors as requested, and provide assistance to roughnecks.
May also need to help the floormans on the rig floor if they are too busy to get a break.

• Worked as s FLOORHAND in HELMERICH AND PAYNE INC, Bahrain from Nov 2011 to
Feb 2013.(Client –TATWEER PETROLEUM).
The duties of floorman are:
• Operation on various pipes handling equipment while making pipe connections, tripping, testing,
etc.
• During periods when the drill string is on bottom drilling, assists in preparing additional drill
pipe, collars, or special tools to be run into the hole.
• Also at this time, rig floor equipment is examined and serviced. Tools, equipment and supplies
are obtained and made ready for the next phase of the operation.
• Prior to completing the well, the drilling crew is responsible for retrieving the drill steam and
BOP equipment such that the well can be plugged and abandoned or completed.
• All equipment is to be returned to its proper storage location and made ready for us again or
replaced if damaged.
-checking and maintenance the drilling equipment
-manipulating elevators, fixing and storing the drill pipe
-maintenance the auxiliary equipment : control panel, drill pipe, cable
-control and take in charge the pipe racks, tanks and reservoirs, inform assistant

4. • To prepare and ensure the tubular goods, depending on RIH or POOH priority.
-during tripping operate the slips, elevator, safety clamp, tongs, cathead etc.
-participate in preparation of drilling fluid , maintain in good condition the screens
-work on derrick floor during tripping and respect exactly the safety regulations.
-Centre drill pipe stands and casing for running in hole
-handle drill pipe stands during POOH and put them into set back
-make fill line before POOH and operate all valves at BOP manifold as required.
• Working as a DERRICKMAN (IN 0370) in WEATHERFORD DRILLING INTL. WDI RIG-
800 Saudi Arabia from Feb 2013 to till date.
The duties of derrickman are:
o Understand the requirements of the Company Management System (to include policies,
procedures, and expectations) and perform duties in accordance with them.
o Propose recommendations for improvements to the Company Management System or
practices.
o Understand that everyone has the responsibility, authority, and obligation to interrupt an
operation if a condition or behavior is observed which could cause harm to people, assets
or the environment and act on this understanding as required. (Stop work authority)
o Identify hazards in the workplace and implement sufficient controls to prevent incidents.
o Participate in pre-tour meetings and participate in and/or lead pre-task meetings.
o Work under the direction of the Driller and/or Rig Manager.
o Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, pumps and drilling mud
systems, and mix mud chemicals, cements and additives
Read gauges to monitor pressure, density, rate and concentration and adjust
pumping procedure as required.
Calculate the dense and volumes of oil and mud
Recording mud density and volumes.
Work on the monkey board during tripping operations as directed by the Driller.
o Monitor, maintain and report the properties of the drilling fluid.
o Monitor and report the drilling fluid additive inventory.
5. o Monitor, inspect, maintain, repair and report condition and functionality of the mud
pumping, storing, processing and transferring equipment on the drilling location.
(Including maintaining inventory of spare parts)
o Assist with routine maintenance on rig equipment as per Company Maintenance System.
o Maintain good housekeeping on the drilling location to include rig components, offices
and accommodations.
o Report incidents, equipment failures, system failures and abnormalities as per Company
procedures.
o Train and mentor Motormen and Floorman who are interested in a Derrickman position.
