An insurance and reinsurance professional with more than three decades of experience, Rob Tolley co-founded Global Specialty Underwriters, LLC, in 2022. As chief executive officer, he guides the company in underwriting niche lines of reinsurance, focusing on businesses based in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

As co-founder and CEO of Global Specialty Underwriters, LLC, in
Dubai, Rob Tolley oversees a range of international insurance and
reinsurance programs that deliver required surety in areas such as
distressed real estate. A pioneer in his field, Rob Tolley helped expand
to emerging markets such as Latin America and the Middle East in the
early 2000s. He managed scheme/portfolio programs, including those
that present unusual risks that most brokers weren’t able to handle.
Mr. Tolley previously held an executive position within a Lloyd's of
London insurance/reinsurance brokerage. Working with partners in
the World Broker Network, he focused on specialized lines that
included precious metals, gold, and oil. Handling engineering and
property liability classes, he also designed coverage to include
professional indemnity and terrorism-related exposures.
With a passion for cycling, Rob Tolley enjoys road and indoor track
racing. Among his achievements was an award for completing a 312-
kilometer one-day racing circuit in Mallorca. Active in his professional
community, Rob Tolley has attended events such as biannual South
America and Middle East reinsurance conferences
