Rob Tolley (former London broker) has served as CEO of Global Specialty Underwriters LLC, Dubai since 2022. As Global Security Underwriters LLC CEO, Rob Tolley takes an active
role in everything from financial strategy to board and client meetings,
travelling throughout Africa, Asia and the Middle East to meet new
clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.

3. ROB TOLLEY
Benefiting from more than 35 years of experience delivering exceptional leadership,
creating innovative strategies for long-term business growth and undertaking
persuasive negotiation, Mr Tolley served as ECB Sigorta AS Dubai’s Head of
Reinsurance from 2019 to 2022. In this role, he exceeded the company’s corporate
goals thanks to his consistent work ethic and scrupulous prioritisation. During his
tenure with ECB Sigorta AS, Mr Tolley explored and innovated new ways to resolve
technological problems, helping team members to optimise processes to enhance
overall efficiency. To this end, Rob Tolley placed a heavy emphasis on team training
and development of staff in specialty classes of reinsurance and approaching major
reinsurers.
In the early 2000s, Rob Tolley brought international reinsurers into the Middle East to
consult with local insurance companies regarding the launch of surety bonds across
the region. He also organised training seminars to help Middle Eastern clients
recognise the benefits of using surety bonds within the construction industry.
In his spare time, Rob Tolley is a keen cyclist and trains five times a week. He has
attended sportives throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, racing on both indoor
and road tracks. Mr Tolley arranges annual trips to Europe and training camps, as
well as weekly cycling club rides.
Rob Tolley is also a professionally trained barista and experienced coffee roaster,
citing coffee as a subject he knows a great deal about and one of his greatest
passions.
Outside of work, Rob Tolley also enjoys travelling with his family, having lived in the
United States, Europe and the Middle East. Mr Tolley and his family are always
seeking out new destinations to visit, with a preference for off-the-beaten-track
locations far from well-trodden tourist trails.
