7. The term appliqué is derived from French and Latin
words appliquer and applicare, respectively, which both
mean to join or attach. Like embroidery, it has a humble
beginning. The technique was used as a way to strengthen
worn areas of items or to patch holes that had formed.

a small appliance that, when
heated, is used to press clothes to
remove creases. Domestic irons
generally range in operating
temperature from between 250 °F
(121 °C) to 360 °F (182 °C).

working until it is finished. Your project will be evaluated based

meet the standard in making an appliqué, and no if the standard
is not attained.
