Innovative Fixed Spraying techniques for

2. Brief Introduction of Topic
• The present idea deals with designing or developing fixed spraying
techniques on grape farm which will be useful, less time consuming, more
economical, affordable in saving the quantity of pesticides and insecticides
that will assist to farmer to increase the productivity of grape crops. We
have designed a Fixed overhead spraying nozzle at specific length and that
nozzle is connected by the central pipeline which is coming from the STP
pump. Fixed Overhead nozzle will cover specific area for the spraying of
particular pesticides or insecticides. Though this project has been done to
improve the methods of spraying but it will definitely save the farmers
money which should be mostly spent on spraying of various insectides and
pesticides. Most of the times when climate change is there grape farmers
can spend minimum of 50 to 60 % of cost of the yield for the spraying of
pesticides and insecticides for the saving of grapes.
3. Problem
• Now a day for spraying pesticide and insecticides in grapes farm small
tractor is used. Very small farmers having manpower can also spray
manually with the help of Submersible Turbine Pump (STP pump), but if
land size is more, it is not possible by manual way. Small tractor which is
attached to blower having number of nozzles from which the spraying is
given to grapes. STP Pump which is attached to tractor and it gives the
high pressure.

• When there is a heavy rain in rainy season or sometimes in winter also,
tractor faces many problems due to mud, And the initial cost of tractor,
Blower, operating cost, labour cost is very high and maintenance is also
required time to time. And the hazardous chemical may have direct contact
with farmer, and this is harmful for Farmer’s health.
5. Solution continued……
Figure Shows the concept assembly of the fixed overhead pesticide sprayer
nozzles for grapes farm. The fixed nozzles are connected to pipeline which
comes from pump. As a pump produces rotational motion to compress the
liquid to the required pressure for spraying the chemical by using overhead
fixed nozzle which is placed at specific length. The pesticide from tank sucks
in pump forced the pesticide to overhead fixed nozzle. We can send pesticide
by row-wise. Once when pesticides released from one row pipeline, all the
nozzles can spray Hence farmer can only change the flow of pesticide from
one row to another row.

• This method is Unique in the market as well
as cost effective and maintenance free, more
ecofriendly than other spraying techniques.

7. Competition and Barrier To Entry
• Now a days various Spraying techniques including
Manual hands spray with STP and Tractor and
blower based spraying techniques are available.
Manual spraying should be possible when grapes
land is very small. Tractor based Spraying
techniques mostly used by large scale farmers. So
tractor based spraying techniques is in
Competition but cost and maintainance is more
in case of tractor based spraying.
• There is no any barriers to entry of this spraying
techniques in the market.
9. Target Market
• Target market –In Asian countries as well as
other European countries where ever fixed
spraying techniques is possible. In India mainly
for Grapes Farmers.

• In this spraying techniques we propose the
instruments of High power pump that should
be connected to the Spraying nozzles which
should be placed at specific location.
