be many but a few most important among
them are discused

8. Unsolicited applicants / walk-ins

Selection process
 Selection is the process by which an
organization chooses from a list of
screened applicants, the person or
persons who best meet the selection
criteria for the position available.
 Selection can be defined as process of
choosing the right person for the right
job
z
Importance of selection process
Proper selection system enables the
organization to appoint talented persons
for various activities and thereby leading
to improved productivity and profitability of
the organisation.
z
 Selection is an important process because
hiring good resources can help increase the
overall performance of the organization. In
contrast, if there is bad hire with a bad
selection process, then the work will be
affected and the cost incurred for replacing that
bad resource will be high.
z Conclusion
 To Fill a vacancy created in an
organization it should be filled by a right
person at right time at right cost.
 If recruitment and selection goes right
goal is achieved.
 Also it includes cost so it should be
done at predetermined cost
