History
   Soccer can be found in almost all places and timelines of the world. The
Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Ancient Greek, Persian, Viking, and lots more
played ball games long before modern soccer. The Chinese played games
that date as far back as 3000 years ago. The Ancient Greeks and the
Roman kicking games to make warriors ready for battle. In south America
there is a game called "Tlatchi“ that used to be one of the biggest sports in
that time. Modern soccer actually started in England, it started in 1863 in
England, when two soccer association went into different directions.
Making , the first soccer Association in England. On 1963, 11 London clubs
sent their leaders to the Freemason's Tavern. These people were trying to
agree on soccer rules and how it should be played in different places.
International matches were being staged in Great Britain before soccer
had hardly been learned of in Europe. This sudden boom of organized
soccer and huge crowds brought problems because there were no seats or
stadiums. Now soccer stadiums can hold up to 50 000 people. Also there
are competitions and the biggest event in the world the World cup.
Rules
• At the start of the game, you start
  with 11 player on each team
• The field is 110 to 120 yards long
• The field is 70 to 80 yards wide
• A soccer net is 8 feet high and 24
  feet long
• The ball must have a
  circumference of 27-28 inches
• The ball mass must be 14-16
  ounces
More Rules
•   If you touch the ball with your hand while it
    is in play it is a free kick for the other team
•   You have to be 10 yards away from the
    kicker on a free kick
•   If you tackle someone from behind it is a
    yellow card
•   If you get two yellow cards you get a red and
    are out of the game (your team plays with
    10 people)
•   If you kick the ball out on the sidelines it is a
    throw in
•   If you kick the ball out in their goal line it is a
    goal kick
•   If you kick the ball you on your goal line it is
    a corner kick

•   No intentional hurting
•   No Fighting
•   No metal cleats
•   No shadowing the goalie
•   No pulling of the jersey
•   No spitting on each other
•   No Calling names
Offside
                                             This is your team
       Offside is a very important
part of the game of soccer. When
the ball is passed if the attacker is        This is their team
passed the defender, it is offside. If
the ball is passed be hind the

World Cup
The world cup is a world event where
all the countries in the world
compete for a spot in the world cup.
The world cup starts with 32 teams
then they have knockout games. Last
year in 2010 Spain won the world
cup. The final game was against
Netherlands and Spain won 1-0
winning their first world cup.
Sometimes the world cup doesn’t
take place like in 1942 and 1946 the
world cup did not take place because
of the world war.

Most played game
     Soccer is the most played
game in the world because it
is a very cheap game to play.
In third world countries they
can play soccer because all
you need is a soccer ball.
Most other sports need lots
of equipments like hockey.
Soccer is also one of the
most fun game and most
people who play it like it.
Women's World Cup
      The first Women’s world
cup was held in 1991, 61 years
after the first men's world cup
was held. Women’s sports are
getting more popular, and it
isn’t just men who are playing.
Still there are lots of sports
that only have men but now
soccer isn’t one of them. So
far there are only been 5
women’s world cup, but it is
getting much more popular.
