Education:
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Aeronautical Engineering Technology)
Arizona State University Polytechnic, Mesa, Arizona Graduated: Spring 2015
Certifications: Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certified
Projects: Arizona State University, Mesa Arizona
XFLR5: UAV Design and Analysis September-December 2014
Individually designed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle in a design and analysis programmed called XFLR5.
Strict weight and angle of attack specifications were followed in order to achieve a stable flight.
Planned the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle requiring three important sections; the main wing, the horizontal and
vertical tail and the fuselage to meet flying conditions at precise angle of attack and loads.
Determined the lift to drag ratio, lift to angle of attack and pitching moment to angle of attack.
Provided final design, met requirements and documented stable flight patterns after analysis and calculations.
Wind Tunnel Wing Design January-May 2015
Tasked with designing, manufacturing and testing a wing inside a wind tunnel.
Coordinated with team member, together selected a NACA Clark Y airfoil to begin modeling of main wing.
Constructed entire wing in SolidWorks for machining and XFLR5 for theoretical testing.
Drafted design with XFLR5 program to determine pressure loads, angle of attack and lift vs. drag ratio.
Manufactured wing consisting of SolidWorks CAD documents and CorelDraw sketches of ribs.
Successfully tested complete wing inside a wind tunnel and recorded pressure point locations along the chord.
Miniature Wind Tunnel Table Top Design January-May 2015
Elected to create a transportable scaled down wind tunnel for demonstration purposes.
Goals of table wind tunnel include having the ability to be powered by an outlet, quiet to talk over, and portable.
Consulted with group members to order parts, create detail drawings and fabricate the wind tunnel in sections.
Designed full model in SolidWorks with proper dimensions and materials for next phases of prototyping.
Exsomed Nerve Clip Prototype September 2013-present
Sought out ways to improve and a surgical operation by decreasing surgery time, difficulty, cost and skill.
Lead group sessions, emails, sponsor conferences, project manager meetings, and design briefings.
Worked as a team to brainstorm, design, manufacture and demonstrate the final product and its application.
Provided professional monthly team member updates, status reports and design presentations.
Conversed with sponsor, project manager and businesses liaison to order materials, tools and parts.
Proposed final design, report and prototype to sponsor company. Demonstrated evidence of improved and
efficient surgical procedures.
Vacuum Bag Prepreg Layup September 2013-May 2014
Exhibited knowledge from lecture(s) to construct vacuum bag system with available materials for prepreg layups.
Preformed prepreg panel layup with layers of material in planned arrangement inside constructed vacuum bag.
Engaged in wet layup project, using fiberglass, support material and a bonding solution to solidify the part.
Tested the strength and stress/strain of parts on tensile machine along with strain gauges.
Worked on composite labs with group members, independently writing reports detailing the experiment.
SolidWorks CNC Project January-April 2012
Developed the cardholder in SolidWorks CAD program, imported into Surfcam CAM program, and created
machine operations.
Fabricated a code for the cardholder and ran the final code on a Haas CNC machine.
Received high level of stakeholder acceptance.
2. Work Experience:
Apprentice, RichardAnthony Corp., Yorktown Heights, New York Summers 2007-2014
Performed work for a custom millwork company that became an apprenticeship in which, heightened
responsibility was given to me through blueprints and manufacturing parts from designs.
Organized materials within the shop into boxes and shelves to create a more accessible environment for the
employees working.
Fabricated segments of household sets such as kitchen cabinets, bedroom dressers and frames for ceilings.
Installed various products into the customer’s high scale apartment complexes by organizing parts by room,
dividing work among employees and maintaining written record of all products installed.
Fulfilled client order(s)with a high level of customer satisfaction, with proven ability to deliver final product.
Collaborated with fellow workers in order to gain more information in understanding drawings for various jobs.
Gained new skills within the company utilizing a broad range of methods, machines and tools.
Facilities Manager, Sun Devil Fitness Center, Mesa, Arizona September 2011-October 2013
Greeted and took account of each individual using the facilities' services, making sure that all members had the
proper workout attire in order to promote safety.
Answered incoming calls and responded to public inquiries in a courteous manner.
Performed opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks were completed accurately.
Coordinated with seven employees while working to make sure systems were running properly, the facility was
clean, presentable, and patrons were safe at all times ensuring the staff and members were communicating.
