Vice President Clinical Operations
!• Successfully managed, in 4 months, the enrollment of around 630 patients, throughout Assisted Living Facilities in
South Florida for a MRSA control study.
• Lead Internal Auditor for two key Company audits so far: Laboratory Processes and Quality Assurance.
• Work closely with the BCW’s Principal Investigator (PI) to evaluate clinical trials and ensure that all related procedures
for studies are completed properly from a clinical and a regulatory perspective.
• Oversee related operational aspects for all studies including budgets, timelines, resources, vendor selection and
clinical team staff during study start-up, monitoring and closeout activities.
• Lead Auditor for Internal Audit team that on a quarterly basis audits key company processes to make sure that SOP’s
are being followed. The key findings and recommendations are presented to BioCollections Executive Team.
• Set up Sediba Hope, an NGO in Johannesburg, SA as a collection site for our Hepatitis C viral load trials.
• Develop budget proposals tailored to the needs of the institution and specific clinical trials :
✴ Generate leads and follow up with potential sites and negotiate contracts and budgets directly with PI’s
representative. Assist the sites in the preparation and submission of the Site Submission Questionnaire to the
Institutional Review Board (IRB) for site approval.
✴ Coordinate site initiation and training visits prior to study start, as per BCW’s Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP).
• Work closely with BCW PI and selected Clinical Research Organizations (CRO) to develop plans to recruit subjects
for specific studies:
✴ Searched multiple Asian and Vietnamese sites to source Hepatitis C Genotype 6; eventually set up network of US
gastroenterology physicians and support groups in four States (CA, LA, PA, FL) that provide us with HCV
Genotype 6 patients. Work with PI and participating CRO’s submit to the IRB for site approval for a specific study.
✴ Successfully set up a network of US physicians who provide us with Hepatitis B samples on an ongoing basis.
✴ Ensure that studies are carried out in compliance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines and BioCollections SOP's
✴ Assisted with screening approximately 800 Vietnamese in New Orleans area (2012). Established a successful
network of HIV sites around the US resulting in qualifying and recruiting over 1500 HIV patients for our different
studies in the last three years.
✴ Established sites in London and Barcelona for HIV and Hepatitis C studies. Successfully enrolled approximately
300 individuals.
✴ Coordinate mobile studies where BioCollections provides the staff to perform the consenting, phlebotomist and
processes the specimen samples; provided the informed consent to participating donors.

• Evaluated rebates and allocation by subsidiaries for financial reporting. Year over year increase of 30% total rebate
amount to Watsco in the first year.
• As part of Sarbanes Oxley implementation, worked with Ernest & Young team in documenting, mapping and validating

• Analyzed the entire logistics chain between Carrier Mexico and Springer Carrier into Carrier’s warehouse in
Philadelphia. Findings and recommendations to streamline the logistics process were presented to North America’s
Room Air Division product team. Recommendations were implemented immediately and achieved a cost savings of
$500K.
• Created a targeted pre-buying season rebate program that encouraged distributors and dealers to stock our product
and the end user to buy it.
• Increased sales by 40% from the previous year.
• Developed a “Quick Start Guide” which reduced room air conditioner installation problems by 90% for first time buyers
