2. I started out the weekend at Fred’s Market in my hometown for the world’s best breakfast buffet. I would need it.

3. Molly Goodhead’s in Ozona, Florida May 2 I went to Ozona to meet Heather of the Orange Café. But I had to stop by my old favorite : Molly Goodhead’s . Great place and MERMAID friendly! I wanted to buy a shirt for shows, but I didn’t want to spend the money because season is at low ebb. Have to figure out in the next 30 days how to live OUTSIDE of season.

4. Molly Goodhead’s in Ozona, Florida Molly Goodhead’s . The mermaid sign is very distinctive and perhaps…suggestive. I WANT A T SHIRT!

5. Ozona’s Orange Street Café Heather of the Ozona Street Café is going to sell my more inspirational, egretful and bait shop type of work in Ozona. I left 20 pieces to see what might work there. It is connected to the Conscious Connection in Ozona. So it is has a real strong feel good spiritual feel to it. I’m excited. They are at 306 Orange Street, Ozona, FL. 727-230-1898.

6. Ozona’s Orange Street Since I was there last time, the Ozona Pig is new…BBQ and bar. Heather might show some of my work to the owner so I can sell my drinking signs across the street. I hope so. I’d love to have a reason to come hang out. I didn’t realize Ozona was a big fishing place with a lot of history. I LOVE FISHERMEN!

7. Old Palm Harbor Perk’s Coffee Richard just opened this coffee shop on Nebraska just off Alt. 19. My sister has been reading tarot cards there and got me in. Richard is a biker dude who can be seen dancing in a coffee cup costume in the morning. He’s letting people know he has GREAT COFFEE! HE DOES! And …treats. Yesssss. TREATS.

8. RhondaK in Old Palm Harbor This is my set up in what is ALMOST Bar-muda. The corner by Perk’s has two FUN bars. Old Palm Harbor is on the fun TO DO list. Lots of local color, Old Florida style…through the night the sounds of Jimmy Buffet and Frank Sinatra mixed to the degree I realized that Buffet is our generations Sinatra. Really. He is.

9. Mariachis Serenade Perks in Palm Harbor!!! Perk’s owner Richard is the sort of guy who makes friends fast. NO ONE IS A STRANGER at Perk’s. He couldn’t come see his new mariachi band friends ( he had to work the place!) so they came and played for him right on the sidewalk.

10. RhondaK Tries Oldsmar Flea Market While Looking For the TikiHedz! I am always open to trying to sell different places and different ways. I went to Oldsmar to meet Damien of the TikiHedz . See TikiHedz on display at Oldsmar Fleamarket in Oldsmar Fl! IW-11 . However, if you’re a daytripper you can rent a space for $10 a day. I got a space three spaces down from where you can also pick up John Holmes DVDs for $15. Happy Hour is My Group Therapy versus Group Sex? I didn’t do well. But luckily I hooked up with the TIKI NATION!

11. MEET Damien and Misty of the TikiHedz!

12. The collective at TikiHedz is building a TikiNation collective. Damien has taken on some of my work to sell on consignment. Hopefully when it is season again, I can return the favor. I’d love to have tikis in my shows. I started doing bar signs while working with TikiMan, a tiki carver. And a conversation I had with Tiki Tom of Fort Myers changed my life.

13. This is my calendar. I’m desperately trying to figure out how to survive May which is out of season where I usually sell. Thankfully the partnerships I built with Perk’s Coffee in Palm Harbor, Orange Street Café in Ozona and the Tiki Hedz might help. No one thing is going to work. I have to build income streams and work to help other people who are also out there trying to make a difference with their work/businesses. How Can I Survive May out of Season?

14. Survival is also looking at who I am and who I have been…like Bait shops…and signs from my home town.

15. Survival is also about thinking about art and the places I find it …like freight trains…fresh markets…road sides…and Lenoce’s! The Oldsmar Home of the BEST omelet AND a skateboard legend.

28. At the end of this weekend, I found two new places to consign my work. I found a new place to sell. I met some fun people. I thought about new ways to do my art. I was depressed deeply about Eight Belles, the filly that died after coming in 2 nd at the Kentucky Derby. I am tired. But I can’t lay down. Getting chances to sell still isn’t selling. My Jeep CJ5 is still not running. I can’t lay down. I have to keep working, thinking, planning, meeting, trying and keep on it. Have to get ready for two new stores..a store restock where I’m not selling and a little show with fun girls on Friday in Cortez, Florida.
