3. Organisation is the key to smooth
sailing, but it doesn't come naturally to
all of us. Creating lists and crossing
them out as you go not only gives you a
fighting chance of getting everything
done in record time, but incurs a sense
of satisfaction as each task is crossed
off.
5. We are not telling you to pack up your
whole life months in advance, but by
packing things you won't need for a
while and storing them out of sight
can make the final month much less
stressful. If you are moving in the
summer, pack away all the winter
essentials etc so that you have less to
do during the final haul.
6. You can get in touch with
providers in advance to let them
know you are moving. Let your
energy and internet providers,
employers and other necessary
people know that your address
will be changing shortly, and tick
that off the list to get you started.
8. By choosing a removal company with
storage facilities, you can start loading
items into storage early and unpack
them at your own leisure. You can
transport the big, necessary items on
moving day and fill the rest of your
new home at a comfortable pace, later
down the line.
10. Your important paperwork should be
kept with you at all times. Make sure
you have your passport, NHS card, bills,
important phone numbers, cash and
credit cards all in one place, where you
can keep your eye on them.
