● Not until I began to talk about it
● I learnt about it later in life.
● Definitely not discussed in my family. When it was, it was received as
something to 'quickly fix' or 'get over it'
● In Latino communities/culture, the older generation acts like it doesn’t exist.

● resonates with my experience of transphobia
● It makes me think of my daughter and how being a Latina and bisexual
has been a challenge to her.
● The folks sharing how exhausting it can feel to be in different spaces

● My heart was bursting. I felt and related to the pain of transphobia
while also feeling so much love and hope being connected with others.
