How to make a good powerpoint

1. Go on to Shared Documents - Year 7 ICT
2. Double click on Socrative
3. The Teacher’s Room Code is FUQXTGMD
4. Click on ‘Join Room’ and enter your name.
5. You have 5 minutes to answer the questions.
To be able to understand what elements make a good
Powerpoint presentation;
To be able to create a Powerpoint using all of the
elements that have been identified.

2. Task 1
• You are going to create a Powerpoint presentation about a
topic that I shall give you.
• To do this, you should know how to do these things on
Powerpoint:
– Make new slides with different layouts (e.g. Title page, Title
and Content page, etc).
– Insert images into your presentation.
– Apply animations to text and images.
– Change the background style/colour.
– Apply transitions to each page.
Do you think you can do these things?
Once you have read the instructions above, put your head on your desk
so I can see who has finished reading.

3. Prep!
Due in on Friday the 13th November, you are to create a
Powerpoint presentation using all of the elements that we
learned about today.
You will choose one of the three topics below to make your
presentation about:
Your presentation should include:
At least 3-5 slides
3 different animations
A transition between every slide
One image on each slide
A bibliography telling me where you got your information/pictures
from.
E-Safety
You need to write
about everything
we learned about

safely in lots of
detail.
Detecting Scam
Websites
You need to write
about the reliability,
and validity of
websites as well as
how to look for
scams.
Searching Online
You need to write
about three
different ways of
searching online.
