Reaxys is known for it’s very deeply indexed content. We use 400 core journals and essential patents covering organic, inorganic, and organometallic chemistry. Traditionally, Reaxys was used primarily for finding ways to make compounds, modify reactions, and use experimental data to verify results.Well none of that has changed. We will continue to deeply index those journals and patents.
But we’ve added content, increasing the number of periodicals to 16,000. This will support your workflow from project initiation to project end. From literature and subject searching to supporting you in your novelty searching and subject monitoring. We’ve added books, conference proceedings, and editorials, reviews, and business articles covering, for example, life sciences, engineering, neuroscience, medicine and physics.
Reaxys was designed specifically to answer a research scientist’s key chemistry questions. It is built around the fundamental questions that researchers ask when thinking about the chemistry. Other databases built around a bibliographic approach tell researchers about what they can find in any given article, without providing cross-source, bigger picture input. This makes the Reaxys data actionable, meaning researchers can take the results they find in Reaxys and move straight to the lab with confidence. When using a bibliographic information resource the workflow is longer and may result in the need to pursue/read multiple articles to get the overview of one particular reaction or substance.
Reaxys is already integrated with PubChem and eMolecules, but You may be interested to know that Reaxys can be integrated with your in-house database to save you from repeating searches in multiple databases. And you can use reaxys API’s to to build new solutions tailor-made for your specific research interests. Reaxys also integrates with several electronic lab notebooks.
