 Provide full range of in-patient primary mental health care, managing the care of patients with a wide range of
diagnoses including mood disorders, OCD, Bipolar, and substance dependence.
 Educate patients and families regarding medication, illness management, special treatments, implementing care,
alleviating concerns, and gaining trust.
 Administer psychotropic medications, follow pain-management procedures, document patient progress, lead
support groups, and teach safety, medication, and coping skills.
 Key player in Magnet recognition of Acadia Hospital – the first Psychiatric Hospital to achieve this recognition.
