and the transfer method from Moscato grapes
• The best sparkling wine is Asti spumante
Lombardy
• This region is famous for its red wines
• Main grape varieties are sassellas, grumello,
inferno
• The wines are full bodied, robust and aged in
wood for long
Veneto
• This area is well known for three wines
• Bordolino – light fruity red wine from the
blend of four grapes – corvina, rondinella,
molinara, and negrara.
• Soave – pale and dry white wine made from
garganega, chardonnay, trebbiano,
• Valpolicella – fruity red wine
Tuscany
• One of the quality wine area of Italy
• This area is home for Italy's most famous wine chianti.
• It is made from red grape – sangiovese blend with other red
and white grape varieties as per DOCG norms.
• Chianti must contain 90 % of sangiovese and canaiolo nero.
Two type of Chianti –
• Young – these go for slight secondary fermentation in bottle
and have frizzante.
• Aged – produced normaly and aged in oak wood
