• Symbolically X is depicted with three heads, six hands,
four dogs, standing in front of a cow and tree. The
three heads represent Brahma Tatwa, Vishnu Tatwa
and Shiva Tatwa.
• X left home at an early age to wander naked in search
of ’the Absolute’. He seems to have spent most of his
life wandering in the area between and including North
Karnataka, through Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh,
and into Gujarat as far as the Narmada River. He
attained realization at a town, now known
as Ganagapura in Karnataka. The original footprints of
him are believed to be located on the lonely peak
at Girnar.

• In the X variant of Ramayana, Dasaratha was the king
of Benares and not Ayodhya. According to Romila Thapar:
"Rama and Lakshmana were the siblings born to the first
wife of Dasaratha. To protect his children from his second
wife, the king sent the three in exile to the Himalayas.
Twelve years later, the trio came back to the kingdom with
Rama and Sita ruling as consorts. The abduction of Sita did
not find a place in this version.“
• Dasarata Jataka. This version is notable for depicting Rama
and Sita as siblings who marry. Such sibling marriages are a
common symbolic imagery in early X literature to denote
purity of a dynasty. As their god is supposed to have come
from the Ikshvaku clan (of Rama) this symbolised his
dynastic merits.

• One day Freyja, goddess of love, sexuality,
beauty(Norse Mythology) passed by an open stone
where dwarfs lived. Dwarfs were smithying a X, and it
was nearly done. Looking at the X, the dwarfs thought
Freyja to be most fair, and she the X. Freyja offered to
buy the X from them with silver and gold and other
items of value. The dwarfs said that they had no lack of
money, and that for the X the only thing she could offer
them would be a night with each of them. "Whether
she liked it better or worse", Freyja agreed to the
conditions, and so spent a night with each of the
dwarfs. The conditions were fulfilled and the X was
hers.
