1. Create a Location and Zones,give them format
 Go to: Warehouse Management>Setup> Warehouse Setup>LocationType
 Clickon Newandtype the name of a formatof Location
 To create locationformats,follow thisnavigationpath:
Warehouse management> Setup > Warehouse setup> Location Formats
 Create a Name for the locationformatandgive hera formatof Lengthandseparator

2. Create Zone groups
Warehouse Managementuseszones,whichletsyoucategorizethe warehouse locationsintoa“Zone”.
Thiscan be useful forallocatingproductbasedoff azone area.In additiontozones,youcan alsogroup
zonestogetherforreporting.Inthisexample,youcangroupthe dry goods,perishable,andnon-
perishable itemstogetherforreporting,whichallowsyoutologicallygroupzonesforanalysis.
To create zone groups,followthisnavigationpath:
Warehouse Management> Setup > Warehouse Setup> Zone Groupsand Zones
Zonesandzone groups are requiredandare typicallyusedforlogical grouping.Zone groupslogically
groupmultiple zonesandare usedforreporting.
In thiscase study,create the followingzone groups:
• Dry goods | Bulk goods
• Fresh| Frozen
Clickon “New”andsetthe Name groupand description

3. Thenyou can create Zonesthancan be englobe inthe same Zone group
Storage dimensiongroups
Storage dimensiongroupsare requiredandare usedto determinethe inventorystorage information
that will be used,includingwhetherthe warehouseprocessesare active.You’ll noticesome additional
options:
• Use warehouse managementprocess
• Inventorystatus
• License plate
To create storage dimensiongroups,follow thisnavigationpath:
Product Information Management> Setup > DimensionGroups – Storage Dimensions

4. License Plate
 You can create license plate onthe nextpath: Warehouse management> Setup> Warehouse
setup> License plate
 Selectthe warehouse that use “Warehouse Management”feature andtype the name of license
plantand finallythe Locationprofilesthathastohave turned on the checkbox “Use license
plate tracking”
InventoryStatus
 You can setup different inventorystatusescanbe setup for reservations.Anythingthatisnot
available forreservationcannotbe shipped.
