PRACTICE MAKES MAN PERFECT
PRIOR TO TRANSMITTING :
Before you start to transmit you must make sure of the following factors:
1. Ensure that your radio is switched on.
2. Ensure that you have selected the correct frequency.
3. Ensure that the volume is turned – up and no one else is transmitting.
4. Think of what you want to say and how you say it before you transmit .
5. When you are not sure what was said to you, ask ‘’ Say again ‘’.
6. Make sure that you are not using a faulty radio .
7. Don’t speak immediately when you press the PTT ( Push To Talk ) bottom.
Wait a few second.
8. Speak clearly in a normal voice with the radio about 2 inches from your
lips.
