process of printing. For several centuries, printmaking has been a significant medium of artists, in West & East
Asia. Historic techniques mainly consist of woodblock printing in East Asia, and woodcut, engraving, and etching in
West Asia.
Many nearly identical prints can be known as an edition. In the modern age, each print is numbered & signed
showing a "limited edition" mark. Prints are also published in the form of a book or a book of the artist. A single
print can be the product of one or more techniques.
