Education
Swansea University
September 2014 till present
BSc Economics and Finance
Year One
Accounting and Finance for Economics: Here I honed my accounting skills which I learnt in
College and also learnt investment strategies, market risk, ratios and how to interpret these,
financial planning, budgeting and analysing. I received a 2:1 in this subject.
Econometrics: I received a first in this module. A high level of analytical skills was required to
succeed, many tests were performed and interpretation of these results is a very complicated
process.
Mathematics 1 and Statistic: Here I developed my strong numerical and analytical skills. I used
various programs such as Excel and SPSS to a great advantage to such an extent I received a first
in both these modules.
Macro-Economics 1: I was tasked with gathering 5 years of data on 3 different countries and use
key metrics such as GDP per capita, inflation etc. and many more. Then I had to analyse each data
set and compare and contrast whilst still maintaining context. I received a first for this report.
Year Two
My modules for this year are as follows:
Corporate Finance: For this modules coursework, I had to first compile over 3 years’ worth of data
on a specific company and draw on key insights and figures to provide a meaningful comparisons
between competitors while also highlighting important statistics and essential results. My Excel skills
allowed me to move above the level required.
Mathematics and Statistics 2 - For the Statistics coursework, I had to compute a number of
complex formulas into Excel and SPSS and then use my analytical skills. This required a great
attention to detail as a simple misinterpretation of results may yield grave effects. I received a first
in this piece. For the Mathematics portion, I had to compute a number of proofs and matrices using
transposition, inversion etc.
Econometrics 2
Investments, Assets, Equities and Bonds
2. Neath Port Talbot College
September 2012– June 2014
A-levels:
Accounting and Economics- C
Mathematics C- Here for my coursework, I had to first state my null and alternative hypothesis,
compile over 200 iterations using only Excel and draw insights from the data, then conclude the
paper by comparison.
