2. METHODOLOGIES IN THE
QURAN
• GOOD EXAMPLES/BEST EXEMPLARY
• STORYTELLING/TALE
• TEACHING/LESSON AND ADVICE
• REWARD AND PUNISHMENT
• COMPARISON
• CAUSE AND EFFECT
3. BEST EXEMPLARY
Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an
excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allah and
the latter day and remembers Allah much.
(Chapter Al- Ahzab 33:21)
4. THE STORYTELLING/TALE
In their histories there is certainly a lesson for men
of understanding. It is not a narrative which could
be forged, but a verification of what is before it
and a distinct explanation of all things and a guide
and a mercy to a people who believe.
(Chapter Yusuf 12:111)
5. LESSON AND ADVICE
Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and
goodly exhortation, and have disputations with
them in the best manner; surely your Lord best
knows those who go astray from His path, and He
knows best those who follow the right way.
(Chapter An- Nahl 13:125)
6. REWARD AND PUNISHMENT
And convey good news to those who believe and do
good deeds, that they shall have gardens in which
rivers flow; whenever they shall be given a portion
of the fruit thereof, they shall say: This is what
was given to us before; and they shall be given the
like of it, and they shall have pure mates in them,
and in them, they shall abide.
(Chapter Al- Baqarah 2:25)
7. COMPARISON
And certainly We have set forth to men in this
Quran similitudes of every sort that they
may mind.
(Chapter Az- Zumar 39:27)
8. CAUSE AND EFFECT
If you do good, you will do good for your own
souls, and if you do evil, it shall be for them. So
when the second promise came (We raised another
people) that they may bring you to grief and that
they may enter the mosque as they entered it the
first time, and that they might destroy whatever
they gained ascendancy over with utter
destruction.
(Surah Al- Israa’ 17:7)
