Senior Director, International Financial Performance and Analysis (Manchester, UK) 2015 -
Reported to VP International Finance / COO and led a team of 5 direct reports with responsibility for $700M in
revenue and $310M of Operating Income, operating in 9 geographical regions and 48 countries. Directed all
financial and operational activities for the region including monthly closing, strategic planning, FP&A activities
as well as rebuilding Finance teams in the field.

Finance Director, Chemistry, Discovery and Automation Business Group – Brea, CA 2007-2011
Operational CFO for a $2 billion business with responsibility for all financial aspects of the business including
strategic planning and forecasting. Reported to VP Finance and directed a team of 20 including four direct
reports.
The Finance Lead in an $800 million acquisition of the chemistry division of Olympus Corporation with
responsibility for all due diligence, analytics, integration and synergies activities. Achieved synergy savings,
on a full year basis, of $55 million. (combination of Olympus and Beckman expenses)
Managed Company’s $110 million R&D budget in line with strategic plan, as approved by the Board and as
presented to the shareholders.
Developed a new process for strategic plans, annual budgets and monthly forecast reviews for the product
portfolio to ensure alignment between strategic and tactical goals.

Responsible for interaction with corporate headquarters as well as other Finance functional teams (FP&A,
Tax, Treasury) on process improvements and project/process deadlines.
Led multiple continuous process improvement initiatives in the shared service center resulting in a shortening
of the monthly closing cycle by one day which allowed for more diligent reviews and delivered virtually error
free, timely submissions to the corporate headquarters.
Conducted staff talent assessment, and along with the FP&A Team, realigned talents in both organizations
resulting in team’s increased finance / business acumen, higher motivation level, and more comprehensive
