Detailed Lesson Plan in Science III
Grade III-Arts
I. Objective
Draw and describe the basic types of clouds.

C. Materials: Pictures, cartolina, marker, crayons, cotton balls, glitters for
lightning and rain, paper, glue, tape, crayons and scissors

B. Prayer
“Everybody please stand up and let us
pray.”
“Good morning class!”
“Before you take your seats, look
around you and pick up papers or
trashes and put it on the garbage
sack.”
“Okay, you may now take your seats.”
“Who are absent today?”
(The teacher will identify those that
are not inside the classroom and mark
them absent.)
C. Prime Reading
The teacher will call a pupil to tell a story
or an experience.
After the story telling the teacher will ask
(The pupils will stand up and pray.)
“Good morning teacher Ann, good
morning classmates it’s nice to see you
today! Mabuhay!
(The pupils will pick up garbage and will
throw it on the garbage sack.)
“Thank you Teacher!”
(The pupils will name those pupils who
are not around.)
The pupils will listen to the story.

The teacher will ask the pupils.
“What is the weather today?”
“How about yesterday?”
“How about last week?”
“Yes, very good! So now I want you to
observe the sky outside and write
what you have observed on your
paper. I will give you 3 minutes to
observe outside.”
“So what do you observe in the sky?”
“Yes, all of your answers were right!
So what do you think is our lesson for
today?”
“Yes good job because our objective
for today is to draw and describe the
basic types of clouds. Who among
you here loves to see clouds?”
“Okay, very well said!”
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
a. The teacher will ask, “Based on your
observations. What can you say about
clouds?
“Yes, your answers are right, because
a cloud is a large collection of very
tiny droplets of water or ice crystals.”
The teacher will further explain about
clouds. And will introduce the main
types of clouds. Namely the Stratus,
Cumulus and Cirrus clouds with the
pictures.
b. Drawing Contest
The class will be divided into two and
each group will choose a
The pupils will answer.
“Teacher today is sunny day.”
“Yesterday was cloudy day.”
“Last week was rainy day.”
“Yes teacher!”
“Teacher I have observed that the sky is
blue.”
“Teacher I observed that there are
different formations of clouds.”
Teacher I observe that the clouds are
color gray and white.
“Sky Teacher?”
“Clouds teacher?”
“Me teacher!!”
“I love to see clouds teacher because it
looks like cotton candy.”
I like clouds teacher because I can see
different formations on it.”
“Teacher clouds contains water
teacher.”
“Teacher clouds are white.”
(The pupils will listen in the discussion
presented by the teacher.)
(The pupils will group themselves into
two groups and then choose their artist.)
representative to be their artist in their
group. Their task is to draw on the
board the kind of cloud that the
teacher describes. The group that will
show the best drawing that fits to the
description will be the winner.
2. Practice
The game will called “Pinoy
Henyo” using the same group the
pupils will choose representatives
who will participate in the said
game. The one will the guesser
and the other one is the doer of the
action.
The teacher will put pictures of the
different types of clouds at the top
of the head of the guesser and the
doer of the action will perform it.
The group that will have the
highest score will be the winner.
3. Differentiated Activities
Group 1: “I Made It”
The group will be given materials
that will be used in making a
cumulus cloud.
Materials: Box, cotton/cotton balls,
glitters, construction papers, pair of
scissors, glue and tape.
Group 2: “I Draw It”
The group will be given drawing
materials and will draw the main
types of clouds with a description
on it.
Materials: Cartolina, Marker,
Crayons.
Group 3: “I sing It”
The group will create a song it
could be in a rap or jingle type but
the song should be about the
clouds or in relation to clouds.
Materials: Cartolina, Marker
(The pupils will group themselves into
two groups and then choose their artist.)
(Each group will do their task.)
4. Post Activity (Generalization)
Give one cut out of cloud to each
pupil and have them write what
they have learned from the topic.
C. Application
The teacher will let the pupils draw the
different types of clouds.
 Cirrus Clouds
 Cumulus Clouds
 Stratus Clouds
IV. Evaluation
Describe the different types of clouds
Shown in the pictures.

  • 1. Detailed Lesson Plan in Science III Grade III-Arts I. Objective Draw and describe the basic types of clouds. II. Subject Matter A. Topic: The Types of Clouds B. Reference: C. Materials: Pictures, cartolina, marker, crayons, cotton balls, glitters for lightning and rain, paper, glue, tape, crayons and scissors D. Approach: Constructivism, Collaborative learning E. Value: Cooperation, Creativity III. Learning Experiences Teacher’s Activity Learner’s Activity A. Preparatory Activities B. Prayer “Everybody please stand up and let us pray.” “Good morning class!” “Before you take your seats, look around you and pick up papers or trashes and put it on the garbage sack.” “Okay, you may now take your seats.” “Who are absent today?” (The teacher will identify those that are not inside the classroom and mark them absent.) C. Prime Reading The teacher will call a pupil to tell a story or an experience. After the story telling the teacher will ask (The pupils will stand up and pray.) “Good morning teacher Ann, good morning classmates it’s nice to see you today! Mabuhay! (The pupils will pick up garbage and will throw it on the garbage sack.) “Thank you Teacher!” (The pupils will name those pupils who are not around.) The pupils will listen to the story.

So now I want you to observe the sky outside and write what you have observed on your paper. I will give you 3 minutes to observe outside.” “So what do you observe in the sky?” “Yes, all of your answers were right! So what do you think is our lesson for today?” “Yes good job because our objective for today is to draw and describe the basic types of clouds. Who among you here loves to see clouds?” “Okay, very well said!” B. Developmental Activities 1. Presentation a. The teacher will ask, “Based on your observations. What can you say about clouds? “Yes, your answers are right, because a cloud is a large collection of very tiny droplets of water or ice crystals.” The teacher will further explain about clouds. And will introduce the main types of clouds. Namely the Stratus, Cumulus and Cirrus clouds with the pictures. b. Drawing Contest The class will be divided into two and each group will choose a The pupils will answer. “Teacher today is sunny day.” “Yesterday was cloudy day.” “Last week was rainy day.” “Yes teacher!” “Teacher I have observed that the sky is blue.” “Teacher I observed that there are different formations of clouds.” Teacher I observe that the clouds are color gray and white. “Sky Teacher?” “Clouds teacher?” “Me teacher!!” “I love to see clouds teacher because it looks like cotton candy.” I like clouds teacher because I can see different formations on it.” “Teacher clouds contains water teacher.” “Teacher clouds are white.” (The pupils will listen in the discussion presented by the teacher.) (The pupils will group themselves into two groups and then choose their artist.)
  • 3. representative to be their artist in their group. Their task is to draw on the board the kind of cloud that the teacher describes. The group that will show the best drawing that fits to the description will be the winner. 2. Practice The game will called “Pinoy Henyo” using the same group the pupils will choose representatives who will participate in the said game. The one will the guesser and the other one is the doer of the action. The teacher will put pictures of the different types of clouds at the top of the head of the guesser and the doer of the action will perform it. The group that will have the highest score will be the winner. 3. Differentiated Activities Group 1: “I Made It” The group will be given materials that will be used in making a cumulus cloud. Materials: Box, cotton/cotton balls, glitters, construction papers, pair of scissors, glue and tape. Group 2: “I Draw It” The group will be given drawing materials and will draw the main types of clouds with a description on it. Materials: Cartolina, Marker, Crayons. Group 3: “I sing It” The group will create a song it could be in a rap or jingle type but the song should be about the clouds or in relation to clouds. Materials: Cartolina, Marker (The pupils will group themselves into two groups and then choose their artist.) (Each group will do their task.)
  • 4. 4. Post Activity (Generalization) Give one cut out of cloud to each pupil and have them write what they have learned from the topic. C. Application The teacher will let the pupils draw the different types of clouds.  Cirrus Clouds  Cumulus Clouds  Stratus Clouds IV.
