2. • When I was capturing my film
on Premiere Pro, I cut the
scenes into appropriate places
which was saved on the left
hand side.
• after capturing my scenes, I
then used the scenes I wanted
to use and dragged it into the
video and audio rows.
• At first I placed each scenes
into order which was very
linear and boring.
• Trailers jump from different
scenes which build action
however I have not done this.
3. • i decided to change the
order of my trailer and
reverse the order which
we challenge conventions
of trailer and make my
trailer stand out from the
rest of the market.
• This was a very difficult
process and half way
through I decided to
scrap that idea and jump
from in her normal life to
her life when she is
captured. This will
challenge conventions.
4. • As I said in the slide before I
decided to mix up my scenes
and do her in her normal life
then the life when she was
captured.
• This will intrigue the audience
and keep them lock on
watching my trailer
• This trailer but we confusing
but easy to pick up what the
trailer is about because it is the
same actress throughout the
trailer.
• Challenging the trailer by
contrasting the scenes will
have a bigger impact.
5. • After sorting out my
trailer and decided where
to put each scene I
decided to save an image
of green screen to follow
conventions of an trailer.
• I placed it at the
beginning of my trailer
and had it played for
about 3 seconds, the
duration of my green
screen is conventional
and gives the audience to
settle down and be ready
to watch the trailer.
6. • I decided to choose Cloverfield
institutional references of
Paramount and Bad Robot
because Paramount is one of the
largest movie studios.
• The Watcher is a thriller so I
wanted to choose a production
company which does thrillers.
• On Wikipedia I saw that
Cloverfield and Paranormal
Activity 4 is under Paramount
Pictures which were prefect
example of the film I am doing.
• Also on the institutional reference
it has the shaking effect which will
tie well with my trailer because it
is scary and in the kidnapping
scenes it is a hand held camera.
7. • Some of the scenes I have shot, the lighting was not very
good so I’ve added a video effect called ‘lighting effect’
which will automatic adjust the lighting.
• i couldn’t do much with the lighting so I slightly brighten
up the scene.
• After playing around with the lighting it become quite
scratchy. I decided to leave it like this because it gives the
audience a feeling of uneasy.
8. • For each scene I added a video transition, the
transition was called cross dissolve.
• The effect adds spookiness and connotes
someone blinding for each scenes like some
sort of horrible memory.
9. • As you can see in the
audio 1, I have lowered
some scene which was
the original sounds of
when I was filming and
added sound effects.
• For this one I’ve added a
knife sharpening sound
with the scene to make
the audience think she
can hear rattle of knives.
• It creates verisimilitude
to my trailer.
10. • When I finished my
trailer I had to export
my media.
• It could up with a
window (below right), I
had to changed the
format in Window
Media so I can upload
it onto Youtube.
• I had to make sure the
Source Range was the
entire sequence and
not current scene.
