When two (or more) become one ,[object Object],Galaxy collisions usually result in the disruption of the overall shape of the galaxy. "The parents disappear into their offspring." Because stars are very far apart, gas clouds are more likely to interact when two galaxies collide. Star bursts sometimes result from galaxy collision.
