She usually draws and sketches without using color, i.e. only in black and
white, preferably using pencils and charcoal.
Every once in a while she is employed by Q, to break away from her
traditional b&w work and work with bright, peppy colors.
She uses Indian classical designs and geometry as inspiration for these
works, and Q usually puts this bright artwork ahead of his own genre-
defining work.

An Autobiography also known as Toward Freedom, (1936) is
an autobiographical book written by X while he was in prison. It ran nine
editions in the first year alone. He wrote the book to explore how and
why he had ended up taking the path of civil disobedience that in turn
led to his imprisonment.
X starts his history with how his ancestors had to flee Kashmir, and then
goes on to tell about his own life, with a particular emphasis on the parts
of his life that had brought him to this point in time.
As a (very tall) grownup he is still thoughtful. One sees his admiration
for humble people, and his aversion to any form of violence very early in
the book.

Abid Hasan Safrani, IFS, was an officer of the Indian National Army and later, after
1947, an Indian diplomat. After repatriation to India at the end of the war, Abid
Hasan was released and joined the Indian National Congress briefly. After partition,
Hasan chose to settle in Hyderabad and joined the nascent Indian Foreign Service.
Over a long diplomatic career, Hasan served as the Indian Ambassador to a number
of countries including Egypt and Denmark before retiring in 1969 and settling back
in Hyderabad.
Hasan was also a scholar who spent long hours with his Persian and Urdu
poetry. His Hindi-Urdu translation of Jana Gana Mana with the music from Ram
Singh Thakuri, became Subh Sukh Chain.
But his most famous contribution to the country, according to Leonard Gordon,
author of Brothers Against the Raj, is something which is used by us till now, and
will be used for years to come.
