In 1960s, a flurry of British teams like Lotus, Cooper British Racing Motors
(BRM) entered the grid in F1. Later Williams and Mclaren also joined them.
Enzo Ferrari, who was never shy of voicing his opinions, dubbed these teams
'garagiste' teams, who dared to challenge grand constructors like Ferrari.
All of these teams had one thing in common, that they did not manufacture a
certain part of the car on their own.
Nowadays, it is common for teams to not make this part on their own and
buy it from other teams(only 4/10 teams make this part). What part are we
talking about?
6. Q3
X is a type of Motor racing in which usually 2 cars compete at a

A popular game, CSR racing, is inspired from this form of racing.
Identify X.
8. Q4
The world's oldest active endurance racing event, X hours of Le

hours. In 2021, Toyota Gazoo Racing was the team which won.
How long does X last?
10. Q5
X is one of the oldest motor racing circuit in the world. It has hosted

Identify X and Y (a country).
12. Q6

metres between the highest and the lowest points. The name X might remind you
of a procedure which helps relax your body and mind.
The circuit features one of the most famous corners in all of F1, Y. This iconic
section includes a downhill left hand turn followed by a sharp uphill section and
right left combination with a blind summit that the best drivers take flat out.
It often rains at this circuit, and at one stage it rained at the Grand Prix for 20
years in a row.
Identify X and Y.
16. Q8
When an f1 car moves quite fast a pocket of air of low pressure is created
behind it. Drivers take advantage of this phenomenon (created by the car in
front of them) to accelerate at a faster rate down the straights, in that
case this phenomenon is called X. When this occurs on corners it makes
overtaking difficult due to lowering the amount of grip and aerobalance of
the car. It is then called Y.
What are the terms X and Y?
18. Q9
A tradition of racing which is practiced by racers who top the
podium was started due to an accident by Jo Siffert after he won

when he performed this tradition on President Vladimir Putin.
Identify this tradition.

teammates. There was one such rivalry that started between two

Marino grand prix). X started in pole position but after Gerhard Berger’s
fiery crash the race was stopped.

divebomb him into tosa and snatch the lead. Y was absolutely livid and
threatened to quit the sport.

30. Q15
Formula 1 has had a lot of controversial sponsorships
over the years. One of them is the partnership between
Marlboro and Ferrari. Initially, the Marlboro logo was
there only on the team's racing suits and helmets, but soon
started being featured on the main livery.
In 2006, the FIA banned Tobacco sponsorships in
accordance with EU regulations. This prompted Marlboro
to come up with an insanely creative method to sponsor
their brand. There was a barcode-like design on the car.
How was this barcode design an advertisement for
Marlboro?
