Cat expo @ the Library (June 2019)
To promote responsible ownership of your pet. Keeping your cat
within your home boundaries which results in protecting the
environment and wildlife. Eg. Cat proof fence roller, cat cage

Festival on the Green (May) & Wildflower Garden(August)
Approximately 15,000 people come to enjoy a fantastic day of fun, food
and entertainment. The Library gets a stall and staff on duty plan story
time, craft activities and encourage visitors to use our library resources.
The Library targets families with children and promote our resources.
St Ives Medieval Faire
Attracts 20,000 visitors every year. Library has a tent and promotes
resources and services. We also organize craft activities, medieval
board games etc for adults and children.

Bushfire retrofit presentation (June 2019)
Experts in the field shared their knowledge and gave advice on
how to protect property in the event of bushfire.

Erin Rhoads Book Launch – Waste Not Every day – plastic free July

Would you like to throw away less? Do something for the planet? But not ready
to dive straight into composting or go totally plastic-free yet?
Waste Not Everyday is your step-by-step guide with 365 easy changes that will
not only influence what you throw out but also have a genuine impact on the
future of our planet.
Lauren Hickson will also join us as MC for the night. Lauren runs local,
sustainable business Refillery, providing eco cleaning and beauty products.
which you can refill using your own bottles from home.
7. Art Centre
We do Author talks as well as some combined projects like the
Mural launch at the Art Centre which was a public art worked
on by community members.
Art Centre Staff are also judging the heats of the ArtSci
competition (run in Collaboration with the Northern Sydney
Science Hub)
8. Community Services – Youth Services
HSC Lock in
Annually every October we do a combined HSC lock in where the
library is open till 10 pm for registered participants. Youth services
provide dinner and refreshments. They also provide a mind-works
space for the kids to relax.
