User Story
We have launching a new set of 3 core traits across the business. The
project team completed their first round of workshops with team leaders and
then allowed a couple of weeks for them to cascade the messages on. At
that point I used the ADKAR dashboard to run an AD focused survey to
identify any areas with barrier points before moving on to building
knowledge around building the traits into the performance review process.
The dashboard clearly identified several areas where the key messages
had not been cascaded effectively and the team were able to go out and
correct this. The added benefit is that the team leader community is now also
aware that we are tracking whether they cascade information :). We plan to
run further surveys as the project progresses as we got a lot of good
feedback on the charts and simplicity of the model.

User Story
We are in the middle of over a yearlong implementation of a self-service
application and the project owner saw a need from the beginning to gauge
the readiness of the employees as the outcome is to help mitigate and
audit finding. The project owner has been skeptical about Change
Management as a whole and gave us a small subset of the employees that
would be impacted by this change. We rolled out a small survey customizing
the questions around Awareness, Desire and Knowledge since we have yet
to conduct formal training. Our biggest barrier was on Knowledge but the
most interesting aspect was to see how ready the employees felt compared
to the supervisors and managers. This was eye opening for the project
team, so now our next survey, we are doubling the number of people taking
the survey and creating a separate group for all leaders to take the survey.

User Story
We started to implement a major software revision to 60% of the workforce
as part of the Critical to Quality measures being implemented to address
transparency issues. Negative undercurrents existed since users were
reluctant to embrace a new communication feature: common enterprise-wide
dashboards that names who missed deadlines and job failures, as a result of
missed deadlines. Due to the rumors, we created several 5-question
ADKAR Dashboard surveys to focus on Desire and Knowledge to canvas
whether the current training was useful. The survey results highlighted
where the training broke down. Due to these results, we stopped the
implementation and re-focused our training to address these missed Desire
concerns. Currently, we are re-surveying the departments using the
same surveys to better gauge our re-training efforts.

User Story
For a financial services organization just starting a multi-phase agile CRM
implementation, I created a change readiness approach based on regular
ADKAR surveys at three points during each agile release:
Survey 1 early on: AD
Survey 2 right after training: KA
Survey 3 a month post-live: AR
We were able to align very early on this readiness approach (down to the
question banks!), gain buy-in from both the project team and key sponsors,
as well as start to socialize ADKAR and the goal of CM across the
organization. These ADKAR surveys became a key component of our CM
dashboard.

The project team completed their first round of workshops with team leaders and then allowed a couple of weeks for them to cascade the messages on. At that point I used the ADKAR dashboard to run an AD focused survey to identify any areas with barrier points before moving on to building knowledge around building the traits into the performance review process. The dashboard clearly identified several areas where the key messages had not been cascaded effectively and the team were able to go out and correct this. The added benefit is that the team leader community is now also aware that we are tracking whether they cascade information :). We plan to run further surveys as the project progresses as we got a lot of good feedback on the charts and simplicity of the model. 26

How to use the ADKAR Dashboard User Story We are in the middle of over a yearlong implementation of a self-service application and the project owner saw a need from the beginning to gauge the readiness of the employees as the outcome is to help mitigate and audit finding. The project owner has been skeptical about Change Management as a whole and gave us a small subset of the employees that would be impacted by this change. We rolled out a small survey customizing the questions around Awareness, Desire and Knowledge since we have yet to conduct formal training. Our biggest barrier was on Knowledge but the most interesting aspect was to see how ready the employees felt compared to the supervisors and managers. This was eye opening for the project team, so now our next survey, we are doubling the number of people taking the survey and creating a separate group for all leaders to take the survey. 27

How to use the ADKAR Dashboard User Story We started to implement a major software revision to 60% of the workforce as part of the Critical to Quality measures being implemented to address transparency issues. Negative undercurrents existed since users were reluctant to embrace a new communication feature: common enterprise-wide dashboards that names who missed deadlines and job failures, as a result of missed deadlines. Due to the rumors, we created several 5-question ADKAR Dashboard surveys to focus on Desire and Knowledge to canvas whether the current training was useful. The survey results highlighted where the training broke down. Due to these results, we stopped the implementation and re-focused our training to address these missed Desire concerns. Currently, we are re-surveying the departments using the same surveys to better gauge our re-training efforts. 29

How to use the ADKAR Dashboard User Story For a financial services organization just starting a multi-phase agile CRM implementation, I created a change readiness approach based on regular ADKAR surveys at three points during each agile release: Survey 1 early on: AD Survey 2 right after training: KA Survey 3 a month post-live: AR We were able to align very early on this readiness approach (down to the question banks!), gain buy-in from both the project team and key sponsors, as well as start to socialize ADKAR and the goal of CM across the organization. These ADKAR surveys became a key component of our CM dashboard. 31
