Explain how Marina Bay serves as a model to
the principle of Governance deployed to help
Singapore sustain its growth in the 21st
century.
4. Contributions are made-
The IR (Integrated Resort)
A shopping mall in MBS
These will attract foreigners which will then increase the
population of Singapore thus increasing the economic
growth of Singapore.
All these contributions will lead to providing more jobs to
Singaporeans- as a result, improving Singapore’s
economy.
Also this will attract foreign investors which would invest
in Singapore, hence Singapore will earn the profit.

6. How has development of MBS improved
the quality of life?
MBS created more jobs for Singapore.
Makes people more financially stable.
Quality of life's improve.
The staff working in MBS are all encourages
to more environmentally-friendly.
More healthy at work, thus working even better,
taking less leaves and improving quality of life.
7. What have we learnt from MBS
Being daring to take the risk of trying out new
things is important to Singapore's economy
and quality of life.
The IR has attracted many foreigners, which in
turn gamble, thus Singapore earns profit.
However, this will also attract Singaporeans to gamble
which will be bad to Singapore's economy if the
gamblers land in debts.
9. Leadership is Key…
The IR was proposed by PM Lee Hsien
Loong. This caused a long debate by many
other people of the parliament. But because
PM Lee Hsien Loong was more courageous
to build it as he foreseen that IR would
benefit Singapore.
This is an example of ‘Leadership is Key’
10. Anticipate Change and Stay Relevant…
The IR was a huge risk, but PM Lee Hsien
Loong anticipated all that and set up entry
fees for Singaporeans of $100/entry.
This is an example of anticipating change and
staying relevant.
11. A Stake for everyone, Opportunities for
All
The building of the IR had a long debate,
hence, the parliament asked for feedbacks
from the people.
