Nature &Significance of Management

2.  In simple term management is the process of
getting things done with the aim of achieving
goals effectively and efficiently.
 Thus successful organizations do not achieve
their goals by chance but by following a
deliberate process called management.
 The concept of management insist on three
terms:
1.Process
2.Effectiveness
3.Efficiency

3. • Management is a process because it
perform series of steps/functions to
get the things done.
PROCESS
• It refers to completing task on time
and achieving goal.
EFFECTIVENESS
• It refers to completing task with
minimum cost and optimum use of
resources
EFFICIENCY

9.  Coordination is the energy that connects all
the other functions of management. It is the
common strand that runs through all actions
such as production, purchase, finance and
sales to assure perpetuity in the functioning
of the establishment.
 So in short we can say without coordination
no company can work efficiently and earn
profit.

10. Coordination brings unity of action
and integrates different activities of
organisation. Coordination is
considered as the essence of
