In 2015, Flex, acquired Wink (platform) to bring the
Intelligence of things 'Home.' Flex has been a strategic partner
to Wink, serving as their primary supplier of hardware and
firmware, including the Wink HUB and Wink Relay, which
include core IP developed within Flex.
Software Engineering Project Tasks:
• Understanding the Software development process and
learning the JIRA tool for managing project tasks
• Assess state of assigned projects, report on project
metrics, Resource management activities
• Aiding with process improvement in the areas of
Contractor Purchase Order Management & New Employee
setup and onboarding
Take Away/ Learning
• Technical Knowledge: Gained understanding of
technology projects consisting of iOS Mobile
application development projects
• Communication Skills: Communicating with the
Development team and the Management team
project status and top engineering issues
• Scrum Methodology : Creating and Managing
Sprints, User Stories & Backlog grooming for the
above mentioned development projects
• Process Improvement : Undertook some projects
to enhance existing processes for Contractor PO
Management and Onboarding process
• Domain Knowledge: Learned about software
development methodology / process followed for
Medical as well as Non-medical consumer product
