Senior Manager / Manager / Senior Analyst / Analyst Apr’09 to Mar’15
Expertise in Nielsen Services: Worked extensively as a research partner for some of the largest FMCG
clients (RB, Mondelez International, Coca Cola, Nestle, Dabur, SCJ & a few local clients).
Key Responsibilities:
• Account Management through developing the account plan, tracking & delivering on the
business plans and financial targets. The job responsibility also included internal stakeholder
management in regards to revenue expectations from the accounts handled.
• Consulting with clients on marketing related business issues and providing them appropriate
Nielsen research solutions to address it. This also included fostering positive client relationships.
• Team Management by handling a team (3-4 team size usually). This includes supervising,
reviewing, mentoring and coaching them together with evaluating their performance at regular
intervals.
• Collaborate with internal teams (field teams, junior analysts, project developers, diagnostics
teams, tabulation teams etc.) to produce end-to-end quantitative research projects. This
included reviewing proposals, questionnaires, forecasts, reports and also presenting proposals
and final reports to the clients.
• Forecasting volume potential for new products using proprietary model which leverages
consumer’s responses and client’s planned marketing support.
o Also involved working closely with brand managers to help plan marketing support for
their upcoming innovations.
• Business Development by introducing new services / tools to existing clients and also by pitching
in Nielsen suite of services to new clients.
• On-site presence & rhythmic catch ups with clients aimed at discussing and closing any loops on
already delivered reports, identifying newer business opportunities & increasing engagements by
way of having agenda led discussions. The core objective was to be visible at client side leading
to more & more strategic business issues being discussed with Nielsen teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
• For RB-Nielsen partnership, had an additional responsibility of leading Pest relationship globally
and driving entire business together with Global Director – worked extensively on Pest Australia
innovations for RB in this role.
• Apart from regular project related work, have been doing thought leadership work for clients
like Innovation report cards, Category Meta-analysis, Understanding drivers of successful
concepts, Setting up standard marketing plans etc.
• Have also been worked on several process improvement (R&D) projects such as Cycle Time
Reduction, Reviewing Demographics and Validating / Revamping Current Methodologies etc.
• Represented Nielsen as a brand ambassador in campus recruitments, together with HR.
Key Achievements:
• Promoted 3 times (Analyst – Senior Analyst – Manager – Senior Manager) within Nielsen over a
span of 6 years.
• Awarded “Marketing Excellence Award” in Agency Event 2012 organized by Mondelez
International India.
