STEPS:
1. A-H =full length of pyjama shorts
2.A-B= 1/3 of hip round+1”.
3. A-C= 1/3 of hip round+ 3”
4. A-B=C-D.
5.D-F= 1.5”
6. Make a 45 degree line oh d and go
up by ¾”.
Mark this as E.
7. Join B to E to F in a J –shape using a
curved line.
8.Go down straight from F,such that C
to H is equal to F to G.
FABRIC NEEDED: 1.5 m approx.
Measurement needed : Full length and
hip round.

2. A-C = 10 ½” (or crotch height)
3.C-D= ¼ of Hip round +2”
4. Go down straight from B on line CD and
mark it G.
5. Make a 45 degree on G and go up by
1”.Mark this as H.
6.A – E = Full length.
7. E –F = ½ of Ankle round + ½”.
Join B-H-D in a curve.
FABRIC REQUIRED = 2 TO 2.5 m.

1.Waist round

2. A- G= 2.5” (for tie case or elastic )
3. G-C= 1/3 of Hip round +1”.
4. C – D = square out from C, Mark a point
D on 1/3 of hip round +1” .
5. D to K = Take 3” inside from D and mark it
K.
6. Mark a 45 degree line on K,go up ¾” on
this line and mark it L.
7.Go vertically up from K and mark B on line
A.
8.B-H= A-G
9. G-C = H- K.
10.Join B-L-D in a curve.
11.E TO F= ½ of Ankle round.Join D to J.
Measurements required : 1. Full length
2.hip round 3.ankle round.
Omit line I TO J.

8. Stitching tecnique
1.Stitch Up the Legs 2.Stitch the Crotch Seam

9. 3.Add Buttonholes or Measure Elastic
Right now you have a couple of options to keep these pants
around your waist.
Drawstring: On the front of your pants, measure two inches
from the top of the waistline to the center seam. Mark this
point. Measure one and a half inches out from this point to the
right and left. Mark a one-inch vertical line on each side, as
shown. There should be three inches between each line, and
they should be the same distance from the center seam.
Use a buttonhole stitch or the buttonhole setting on your
sewing machine to stitch along the vertical chalk lines.
Elastic: For an elastic drawstring, measure around your waist
with the measuring tape. Cut a strip of elastic at this length. We
will insert it in the next step.
