1. iCAP (Lufthansa Cargo) Application (Jan 2011 To Dec 2011)
Description: The objective of iCAP project is to enhance and enrich CapMan (Capacity
Management), SDB (Shipment DB) and BE (Booking Engine) application for Lufthansa. CapMan
supports interactive maintenance of Master Allotment and related capacity details through a GUI.
The active allotments related to the Master allotment are also updated. Booking request
messages, received from an external Booking system, are processed to check the requested
capacity against the available capacity of the booked flight segments. The available capacity is
then adjusted based on whether the booking request was for create, update or delete. Status of
the booking is set and the booking is stored. A booking event is generated for each booking
request received.
