Controlling the daily issue & receipt activities and sorting
out problem in the day today activities.
Coordinating with mechanical & electrical dept & ensure
periodic overhauling of motors, bearing, housing, plumber blocks
available in stores
Conducting the periodic review of perishable goods in
the stores, following FIFO for the same & raising issue note for
writing off from the book if it is expired
Ensuring the availability of Insurance spares in stores & if
it is issued, follows up with the user for the repair of the same.
Classifying the inventory as “A”,”B”,”C” class according to
the consumption & conducting Perpetual inventory for the same
on a periodic basis
Dispatching spares to various plants through RGP/NRGP
and having adequate knowledge on the statutory (excise)
documents required while dispatching a material to other states.

2. Important Analysis done in DCBL
Projection of ROL 2014-2015: Projected the demand of 180 ROL items Calculating past data’s such
as consumption per year, lead time (Max, Min, Avg), Carrying Cost, Ordering Cost, & projected for
the year 2014-2015.
Benefits:
Improved the customer service level for the fast moving ROL items which are having less
carrying cost & effective control of items having high carrying cost
Management has allocated a justified budget for ROL items.
Justification of Transportation Cost on legal load: After government has announced the Legal Load
in Tamil Nadu our transporter needed revision on the transportation cost on our raw materials,
fuels. I did a justified calculation based on the Fixed & Variable cost per trip for 17 transporters.

This calculation is helpful to our Commercial department at the time of Negotiation
5S Implementation in Stores: Implementing various 5S Principles in stores for easy retrivel of
material from stores & educating the contractor work men on 5S principles for an effective
Implementation.
