Company History
Pronesis is a web agency based in Italy. Founded in
2000, they have since developed over 600 digital
projects for companies across Italy. Their staff of nine
includes developers, designers and SEO specialists.
Their core business is web development,
management, website promotion and the integration
of eCommerce with ERP software. Pronesis has
always believed in the importance of paying attention
to details which is why they invest heavily in training,
new technologies and field tests.
Why PrestaShop
Initially, Pronesis developed eCommerce websites
using an in-house solution. However, as the
customers’ needs grew, they looked for another
solution, specifically, one that was supported by
the company and the community. Since adopting
PrestaShop, they’ve improved efficiency by 20%
and need less time to complete projects. Overall,
customers have been very happy with PrestaShop.
It’s very easy to use and the
interface is really well made.
After several years of working together, Pronesis
became an official PrestaShop partner, which
helped broaden the agency’s audience and boost
sales. They’ve also achieved success selling their
custom-developed modules on PrestaShop Addons
Marketplace.
PrestaShop Project
Slam Jam Socialism was a really challenging project
but gave us a deeper understanding of Prestashop.
The first challenge was Socialism’s marketing
strategy, which revolves around the launch of limited
edition products which drives huge spikes in traffic
to the webserver. They solved the issue by constantly
optimizing the systme and distributing static content
to a seperate media server.
The second challenge was to develop an advanced
home page manager module, to give the user the
ability to make quick changes to the home page. Our
module features an intuitive drag and drop interface
that is used to easily create clickable grids of content
that include images, content from social networks,
product sheets and even videos.
