DEVELOPMENT HAVE BEEN
CATEGORISED INTO NINE
PARTS:-
• Prenatal Period
• Infancy
• Babyhood
• Childhood
1. Early Childhood
2. Late Childhood
• Puberty
• Adolescence
1. Early Adolescence
2. Late Adolescence
• Adulthood
• Middle age
• Old age
3. PRENATAL PERIOD
• Period of this stage lies between the process of
Fertilisation till Birth .
• Development process in this period is faster than the
Rest
• Changes that takes place in this period are Physical.

4. INFANCY
• This period lies till 15 days from the point of taking
birth.
• Child is taken great care by their parents
5. BABYHOOD
• This period is from two weeks after birth till two years.
• Child is dependent on others during this period.
• Almost every Emotions like Happiness, Anger,Love, Hatred
gets developed during this period.

6. CHILDHOOD
• This stage is the important stage from the Physical and
Mental development Point of view.
• This Stage is developed into two categories
• a)Early Childhood (2 – 6) years
• b) Late Childhood (7-12) years
• Children becomes curious i.e. they start asking
questions
• Gregariousness develops (Children likes to play in
Group).
7. PUBERTY
• Puberty forms a bridge and connects Childhood stage and
Adolescence.
• Duration of this period is very short but it is very important
stage from the physical development point of view.
• Sexual organ develops during this period.
• In girls puberty usually begin at the age of (11-13) years
• In boys puberty usually begins at the age of (12-13) years
8. ADOLESCENCE
• This stage begins at the age of 13 and ends at the age of
21.
• This stage is divided into two categorise
(a) Early Adolescence
(b) Late Adolescence
• Children's are problematic Socially and Emotionally
9. ADULTHOOD
• Adulthood comes after Adolescence
• It lies from 21 yrs. to 40 years
• Man tries to achieve aims of his life
• Man enters into family life after getting married to their crush.
• Man/woman is a responsible head of the family.

10. • This stage lies between 41 years to 60 years
• During this stage person desires to live a peace and
calm life
• Person become socially tough and solid.
MIDDLE AGE
11. OLD AGE
• This is the last stage of human development.
• It starts at the age of 60 years and last till the age of
life.
• Loss of Memory Power
• Mental and physical health degrades
