The Constitution of India is the supreme
law of India, it lays down the framework
defining fundamental political
principles, establishes the structure,
procedures, powers and duties of
government institutions and sets out
fundamental rights, directive
principles and the duties of citizens.

4. The Preamble states that Indiais a Sovereign
country itmeans that Indiais a free from external
ruleby any country or any authority.

5. The term Socialist was added to preamble in the year
1976.Although Socialism means public control and equal
distribution of all resources the term socialism aims to
reduce differences between wealthy and needy sections of
society.

6. The term Secular suggests that
India does not endorse any religion
as state religion it also means that
citizens of country are not
discriminated on basis of religion.

7. The word Democracy means
the power of the people. The
political leaders are chosen
by the citizens of the country.

state of India is chosen among its
citizen through their elected
representatives.

express, worship and work in the way that
