2. Jo and Officer Nancy met at her house regularly, they’d become close friends. “So, how are things going at home?” Nancy asked, Jo always felt nervous Nancy always made talking to her seem like a police investigation interview. “Good, Holden’s feeling better and Kelly’s learnt a bunch of new words!”, Nancy smiled “awww, that’s lovely well I gotta get to bed long day of work tomorrow”
3. Later that evening they went to visit the Michaels' family, Jo loved going to see them Holden opened up more and was a lot less shy. They had two children Brooke and Jim, Tammy and Al had been married for many years and had many photos of it. Everyday Holden and Jo would visit with Kelly.
4. Holden and Al would sit in the living room and watch the kids. All they talked about was money, food or sports. Because of this Jo and Tammy would sit in the kitchen and discuss things they found more important.
5. Weeks flew by and Jo had become and regular visitor at the Michaels'’ house; Holden on the other hand popped over once or twice in a week but it was okay he had an excuse the hairdressers had been doing so well, so he was always busy.
6. Tammy and Al were very protective of their children and always walked Brooke to the bus. Today Al walked her, Holden offered to come but Al said no. So he watched from the window, Al leant down to hug Brooke, the little girl moved back putting her hands up “get away, your not even my dad” Al looked down on her “now stop it of course I am, no give me a hug” their was force in his voice the girl looked scared.
7. She shouted at him “No! Go away I don’t want to do this, I’m going home” she stormed away. Al watched as she walked off, he was worried. Looking back he noticed Holden at the window and panicked how long had he been there.
8. Holden watched Al as he made his way inside “So what's going on there?” he questioned, Holden wasn’t taking any chances he couldn’t trust anyone anymore. Al laughed nervously “Umm..nothing you know just…he being a little…umm bratty?” Al smiled hoping Holden would buy it.
9. “Yeh, Okay, Sure” Holden said “as if I’m going to believe that what kind of idiot do you think I am?”. Al shouted at him “its none of your business anyway, so why don’t you get out of my house and stop poking your nose in, yeh?”. Holden picked up Kelly and left.
10. The two woman rushed in the room, Tammy turned “I’m sorry Jo, but I think you should leave, I need to have a chat with my husband”. Jo nodded “me too!” and left.
11. “What the hell do you think your doing, huh? You could have blone..” Al butted in “listen Tammy I don’t care, I’m out, you can stay here or come with me but I’m not sitting her any longer”. Tammy clenched her fists “Fine!” she screamed “get out, get out and don’t come back”, he shouted back at her, glaring at her “well you stay here and play the stupid games I’m out”. Al left the house.
12. Nancy came out of her house, “well Al, where do you think your going?” she asked angrily. Al looked at her “stop calling me Al, you know my names Robert, and for your information officer I’m outta here and nothing you say will stop me okay”. Nancy smiled “okay but when you know who comes to find you don’t expect our help”, Al looked worried but hurried off anyway.
13. Nancy rushed inside her house and to the phone, she quickly dialled a number. “Hello?” the voice on the line said slowly, Nancy answered quickly “we have a problem, I don’t know how bad but we need to act fast”.
