1. Pitch Link Media
Welcome to our new website and blog!
Pitch Link is a resource hub for all professional media artists and users and a place for
new ideas.
Take a tour of our new website (currently in development) www.pitchlink.net
Home page: This page will contain information pertaining to the company; what we do and our
ethos. The background design will go through weekly transformations to tie in with a particular
piece of media or theme. For example, one week’s edition could be a comic book design with
features to compliment this. The main communicative display will be videography from
publishing users such as authors, directors and producers. There will be a slide show in which
site visitors can flick through the day’s work in accordance with how they sort the information
(Most viewed/I am excited to introduce you to our new blog and pilot website which will be up and
running soon. This is where we plan to ask you to share your work and ideas that will hopefully
generate publishing contracts and an audience of followers for you. We also plan to give you
updates on what is happening in the film, television, radio, art industry all around the world.
Our goal with Pitch Link is to give all media users/innovators a presence in the online
community. We realised that there wasn’t many hubs online that catered for a wide range of
media users/innovators which elevated their work and ideas to a growing media savvy audience.
2. Pitch Link is starting to change that. We are excited to have an opportunity to support and
engage these media users.
Highest Rated/Recently Uploaded) A unique feature will be ‘artist of the day’ – a thumbnail where
the artist will be talking about their works, how they got into the industry, what we can expect
from them and release dates of upcoming works. ‘Spotlight on you’, another unique feature of the
site, will contain video interviews with new authors and directors. Along the right-hand side of the
page there will be a flowing newsfeed which displays updates from users you are connected
with. Towards the bottom of the page there will be trailers for new releases, all bringing in ad
revenue to be discussed later on. There will also be a hotlink to your ‘profile page’, together with
search features and a sitemap to browse the rest of the website.
Pitch and Link: This is our USP. This is where media creators have the outlet to promote their
work on the site, whether it is authors, photographers, musicians and more. The structure of this
page is as follows: Photo of idea/creation, Log Line, Sales Pitch, Synopsis, Methodology, Status,
Link to Media, Reviews, and Unique Profile Link which can be shared with other internet users.
This link can be copied and pasted to all letters to agents, producers etc. showing your work in
detail and the positive constructive feedback you have received. It makes all the information
uniformed, in one place and easily accessible with a short formatted address. This will aid your
quest to get published as the agents and directors can see from the feedback that the public like
your idea even through a brief skim of the page.
Art and Design Page: This page will contain a reel of art work running at the top. It will also be a
live wall for feedback and reviews. By hovering over a piece of artwork on the reel, a link to the
artist’s profile page is revealed and users have the option of visiting the profile page. Another
feature on this page is creative process videos – a walkthrough as your artwork as it is being
made, your thoughts and ideas laid out in a presentation-style graphic. Users will be able to
customize their page based on their stylistic interests.
CV Page: The CV page will be the professional, ‘down to business’ part of the site. In this page,
artists are tasked with proving their credibility through documenting their educational and
employment background, any voluntary work completed. A list of their complete works, be it a
discography, film, biography and more depending on the nature of media being created will be
3. charted in the CV. This is showing the historic journey of each and every talented creator on the
site in the hope of securing publishing deals with producers and agents.
Key Links Page: This is a glossary of useful websites, e.g. links to book sites, film sites,
workshops, music and art sites, publishing sites, agent directories and more. This will be
categorized to make it more seamlessly available to the user to process.
This is just a taste. We have numerous other activities in the works – An education centre on our
website showcasing webinars, interviews from leading media professionals in the industry.
So, I invite you to take a tour around our new blog, bookmark our website and connect with us on
social media to stay up to date on our news. We will have a lot of updates to share in the coming
weeks and months. Thank you for visiting Pitch Link.
