Leading tax partner joins Keypoint
Keypoint is delighted to announce that Philip Diviny has
joined the firm. Philip joins Keypoint from K&L Gates
(formerly Middletons), where he was a partner forover
15 years.
Philip has a broad-based tax advisory and tax
controversy practice, coveringboth federal and state
taxes. He worksacross a variety of industries, including
shipping, chemicals, property and health care. He also
has extensive experience in tax related insolvency issues
and in tax related professional negligence matters.
Philip’s experience includes:
Representing clients involved in ATO audits, including on transfer pricing, CGT
and GST;
Acting in Federal Court and Full Federal Court litigation against the ATO;
Advising on all tax aspects of corporate transactions, including acquisitions,
sales, restructures and demergers;
Advising on the tax aspects of infrastructure projects and property
developments;
Applying forand obtaining private rulings;
Acting for individual taxpayers in complex matters involvingthe ATO,including
ProjectWickenby and directors penalty notice issues; and
Advising on tax-related professional negligence claims against accountants and
tax advisers.
Philip has presented and written widely on tax issues. He is also a Member of the
Advisory Panel to the Board of Taxation.
