1. Corporate Profile – Fujifilm in Europe 2016
Innovation is our driving power
in Europe since 1966
2. 50 years of Fujifilm in Europe:
lasting growth and successful transformation
This year marks Fujifilm’s 50th year in Europe.
From our original business in photo film, we have
diversified to become a successful international
corporation with a leading position in many
business fields. On July 7, 1966, Fuji Photo Film
Europe GmbH was entered in the commercial
register in Düsseldorf. Expanding from there
across the continent with production facilities
and sales offices, today we have a dense network
of locations throughout Europe.
Throughout the region, our group operates in
seven business fields including healthcare, graphic
systems, optical devices, recording media and
photographic technologies. We provide the best
technology available in business fields where we
can excel. Our dedication to innovation is central
to that. Europe is an important focus for us, as
reflected by our Tilburg Research Laboratories
in the Netherlands and the recently established
Open Innovation Hub.

13. Jet Press 720S
Ever since the company was formed, Fujifilm has placed
great emphasis on its graphic arts business. Thanks to
an unprecedented investment in R D, the company has
developed a world-class portfolio of products and services
that add significant value to print operations in the com-
mercial, wide format and packaging market segments.
Fujifilm is now focusing its efforts on two areas to create
“Value from Innovation” in the print industry. The first is
the company’s world leading inkjet technologies,
brought together under the new brand name “FUJIFILM
Inkjet Technology” to deliver best-in-class quality,
productivity and performance. The Jet Press 720S is an
excellent example of a high-performance inkjet digital
press introduced as a result of the integration of these
core technologies. The second is a focus on the
company’s conventional technologies, products and
services to optimize traditional print processes, save
resources and improve profitability, with the recently
introduced “SUPERIA” concept another good example.

14. Medical Systems
Fujifilm is a pioneer in diagnostic imaging,
and for decades has been a reliable partner for
hospitals and doctors as we expand into the
healthcare sector.
With Synapse 3D Fujifilm has developed
advanced visualization technology that makes
it easier to see the body’s delicate internal
structures, from the smallest blood vessels
to fine details of the hepatic lobes. With this
technology, organs in the immediate vicinity of
compact bone tissue can be differentiated more
easily and target structures visualized by color.
Doctors can easily and accurately evaluate
sectional image data from CR and MRIs.
Our products and technologies are proven in
clinical applications, and are constantly being
refined to make the work of health professionals
more effective and efficient. The portfolio
includes picture archiving and communication
systems (PACS), digital radiography, digital
mammography, X-ray films, endoscopy systems,
dry imager, clinical chemical analyzers and
ultrasound systems.
