I have a pretty non-traditional background. My undergraduate degree was a BFA in Craft. Before visions of macaroni art and macrame pop into your head, I should clarify that I majored in Furniture Making. While it was an unusual place to start from, the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship I learned through woodworking has been extremely important in my career as a software developer. I absolutely love the entire process of software development. I like design patterns, testing, deployment and security. I like learning new programming languages (at least one each year).
