support. Supervision of and coordination with other office locations P&ID & detailed
engineering work.
Equipment specification for capital improvement / replacement, preparation of drawings
and supervision of installations.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
o Organized and presented Engineering Training course for process equipment system
design conditions - 2004.
o Reviewed and provided input on development of Lummus’ first OCU P&ID's. Subsequently
provided input to technology regarding economic impact on piping class of mixed feed
treaters. This resulted in process design change to reduce cost.
o Provided design condition inputs which have been adopted as standards including charge
gas discharge, chilling train, towers with spare reboilers, heat exchanger tube rupture,
design condition margins for systems with preemptive interlocks.
o Provided Input to Annotated / standard P&ID's updating based on ongoing projects
experiences
o Developed recent changes to P&ID piping arrangements for dense phase ethylene for
quench water and refrigerant heat exchanger applications for metallurgy and overpressure
protection considerations.
o Recently Initiated electronic PDF mark up’s of review comments of P&ID’s and other
drawings & documents instead of antiquated hand mark up’s which eliminates making paper
copies for records and sending to persons involved, etc.
ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS :
Ongoing coordination with safety department & updating P&ID's as needed based on safety
concerns due to recent events and for compliance with code regarding unobstructed over
pressure relief paths.
Field support during construction ~ 3 months summer of 1984 ; Lima Aromatics Project
coordination of answering construction questions regarding pipe routing , field & office
changes.
Expansion Projects experience involving successful detailing of existing plant modifications
and integration of new additional parallel or larger equipment, piping with existing.

piping and instrumentation flow diagrams. This has included extensive communications via
e-mail, drawing mark ups, telephone of work done mostly in offices Delhi India and
Woodlands Texas.
o Participated in and conducted P&ID review screening meetings.
o Responsible for approval and/or input final P&ID's, pump equipment data, relief valve,
interlocks, control valve data, supporting calculations and plot plans, special piping
arrangement , special piping and valve arrangements when needed.

Engineering in Bloomfield office prior to restructure of organization. This involved some
equipment requisitions, bid evaluation, purchase orders, vendor drawing review, piping
layout review, plot plans, line & insulations schedules, instrument alarm & interlock trip
setting.
o P&ID Technical Information includes:
o Drawing layouts consideration process flow configuration with relative elevations as
needed for a system and operating considerations,
o Mechanical temperature, pressure, vacuum design conditions & materials of
construction. Representation of process control, piping, valves, insulation,
equipment, safety overpressure relief, interlocks.
o P&ID review screening meetings. Approval and/or input final P&ID's, pump
equipment data, safety relief valve data, interlocks, control valve data, supporting
calculations when needed.
