CREATE A FOLDER WITH OVERVIEWAND ASSIGN FEEDBACK In the Learning Tasks tool, Class tab, teachers can create a folder to organise Learning Items and/or learning sequences. You can select to provide an Overview and Feedback for the contents of the folder. The following slides are found on the Ultranet Support Site.
Me and My Family
Reference ActivitiesDrawings of Me and My Family A Reference Item is a type of Service Learning Item, which provides students with a link to a specified website. The first two activities will have the students draw a picture of themselves and then one of their family and print the pictures. In order for students to be able to do this they will need to know how to log onto the Ultranet and navigate to the activity.  Printers will need to be setup to the computers they are using.
Step One  NOTE: When following the steps on the following slides make sure that you have clicked on the unit folder ‘Me and My Family’. The following slide can be found on the Ultranet Support Site.
And then select the folder ‘Me and My Family’ before clicking on ‘New’. Title = ME or My Family Copy: www.crayola.com/coloring_application/index.cfm?referrer=/index.cfm
Journal ActivitiesWhat makes me special? A Journal Item is a type of Service Learning Item, which allows students to enter journal entries into their personal journal. Over the term students could record their answers to questions that are being explored in the classroom.  Teachers can record these into the instructions of each activity rather than type these in. In order for students to be able to do this they will need to know how to log onto the Ultranet and navigate to the activity.  Computers will need to have a microphone attached.

Possible Journal Questions What makes me special? Who am I and how am I special? Who are my friends? Who is in my family? What am I good at? What would I like to do when I am older? What do I like to do after school? What do I like about school?
Copy Learning Items All learning tasks and folders need to be transferred from your personal planning folder to your class folder. The following slide can be found on the Ultranet Support Site.
